Communication Review Guidelines
All formal customer-facing communications, whitepapers, journal articles, contests, social media posts or
presentations to customers, prospective customers or outside organizations, where the content or
presentation is sponsored by or presented on behalf of Utica National, must be approved prior to being
shared. All written content, speaking notes, and imagery used will need the express written approval of
both Sarah Mariani-Hinman and a member of the HO Legal team.
- All agent and policyholder communications
- Prospective policyholder communications
- Agent or policyholder contests
- Submissions for journal articles or whitepapers
- Social media posts
- Pod casts or panel discussions where Utica National will be represented
- Customer webinars (agent or policyholder) and training sessions, whether presented by Utica National or a third-party
The initial request for content, or a summary of the planned event, should be submitted to Sarah Mariani-Hinman to ensure it coincides with our brand traits and best practices.
When materials are policyholder or prospective policyholder facing, the content must be shared with the HO Legal team for review. The Marketing CoE will coordinate this review with the Legal team. If approved, a draft of the communication or presentation should be submitted, along with all subsequent versions, for a formal content review and approval.
